New to the Tacoma world, ex dodge dakota owner

    Hello Everyone,
    I recently took delivery of my new TRD sport double cab in Barcelona Red.
    My previous truck was a dakota extra cab with a V8.
    Loved the V8 power and growl but it was becoming a money pit.

    I need to do a few things to the new ride.
    First I need the growl back, the truck sounds like my wife's Corolla :D
    Side steps are a must for my short legs, thinking about Westin
    Radio thinking about a double din pioneer with Nav
    Possibly hood protector and a couple of other things, depending if my hook up at toyota can come through.
    Any advice or direction on about the radio, blutooth, exhaust and other things please drop me a line

    I look forward to going through the forums and seeing what is being done to the trucks.

    i am a huge fan of the dynomax ultra flow mufflers sound real good without the highway drone.
    also a big fan of pioneer head units i have the 4100dvd and love it!! also changed out the door speakers and added an amp

    Welcome! Instead of the hood protector get paint protection film! Got some on my front end and you can't see it! Keeps the front clean and draws attention to the bodylines rather than bulky plastic! Have fun modding!

    traded in my 98 dakota ex. cab for the same reason of being a supercharged money pit.

    damn someone who shares my schedule sweet!
    anyway yeah i just couldn't bring myself to spend the extra$ for nav.most of the time i know where im going and when i dont i have a sweet magellan gps that works just fine.i went with the
    4100 dvd with a metra dash kit and steering wheel control interface
    pioneer 6x9s in the front
    pioneer 6.5s in the rear
    pioneer 800 watt fourchannel amp
    it sounds beautiful.
