    We purchased our first Toyota today. After years of abusing Wranglers we've decide to try out the Tacoma line of trucks. We settle on a 2010 Tacoma Double cab 4x4. The 4.0 L V6 was impressive in comparison.

    Looking into the near future the Tacoma will have to prove its usefulness offroad in the stock form before purchasing a lift and new rubber.:D

    I have a bit of reading to do here...being a Tacoma virgin and all.;)

    I have owned many jeeps and other 4x4s over the years!!! One thing I have learned is there is no perfect rig, I will say the Tacoma is a great 4x4/ little truck....I have had 4 of them over the years and none of them have owed me any thing by the time I sold them! I have hunted the north-west {Montana, Idaho, Washington & South Dakota} 4 wheeling many back roads, hauling out game, packing tents and such in, the toyota as always 4 wheeled well....Have never left me standing. I think you should be pretty happy all said! Good Luck!

    I get my 98 Wrangler to Rausch Creek a few times each year and had been quite the regular visitor to Paragon a few years back.
    It'll be a few months before we'll be able to get the Tacoma tested on the trails.:D

    Greater utility for the home owner and busy family when compared to the Grand Cherokee that was traded. And if we were going to get a truck the Tacoma was best for our needs for now. I did look at the full size Tundras' but they are far too much vehicle for us.
