My 2000 Tacoma driver's side window is stuck. Fortunately, it is only 2" down and I have a window visor on. I began troubleshooting it by taking off the door panel. I notice the middle piece that the crank (in my case after market power window control) sticking out of the door is just spinning. This may be stripped?

Inside the door panel, I tried moving the gears or mainframe and that is the part that is stuck.

Any tips or do I have to buy the whole mechanism?

From what limited knowledge I have on this, I believe the whole regulator has to be replaced. Here is a to the Factory Service Manuals. Best of luck, and welcome to Tacoma World from Nova Scotia.
