Picking up my '96 2WD xcab next week!

    ...sadly, my 1988 PU frame will not pass inspection :(, I LOVE that truck. On the bright side, found a sweet 1996 Tacoma xcab 2WD :p, will be in it next week. Wish I could save my PU, the cross "beam" muffler and gas tank "hang" on has rotted and split in two, frame is rust free until you get to rear wheels. I've seen much worse, but my mechanic is freaking out! I do much of my own mechanical repairs and maintanence. Thought I would try this frame "boxing" or new frame...maybe not...

    Had dealership AND my mechanic go over the '96 Tacoma for me. Frame was inspected by dealer in 2011, was "passed" and corrision prevention applied, looking good. Runs like a champ of course! Anything experts know that I should know to check out BEFORE final sale would be greatly appreciated.
