    Small lift and a topper!
Just bought a truck today, so I can officially be a member. ;)

Bought a '97 Tacoma LX, 4x4, V6 manual, extended cab, 193k, for $3900. Comes with a good topper, almost brand new Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, newly replaced clutch, belts, timing belt, water pump and front axles. Everything works great except the door locks which lock from the inside, but can't be unlocked from the outside. Its clean and in good shape, and has been well maintained.

I've got a few weeks now to get it prepped up for some long trips, towing a trailer. Not much to do besides the usual fluids change on a new vehicle, put a hitch and wiring on, and vacuum the dog hair out of the cab!

Probably paint the wheels too (stock alloys, getting a little oxidized...)

Look for more questions from me soon in the 1st gen forums as I get it tweaked up. Not planning on doing anything crazy with it, but I'll probably update some of the suspension components soon.

    -Sam

congrats on the truck. Seems to be the same setup that I have only 7 years older. That looks like a great deal.

Ha, thanks for the welcome! Hopefully this will satisfy you. A few pics to get started! You can see the nice new 31" tires, and it seems to have a small lift on it, though I can't tell from what just yet (still getting used to the suspension components).

Not perfect, lots of dings and bumps from being 12 years old w/ almost 200k on her, but she runs strong, handles well and inspires confidence!
