    Howdy,
After overpaying the J-Lube joint almost a "C" note today I think it's time to start doing my own maint. again! All it took was the cost of a cabin filter to change my mind. I'll be tackling the front brakes and rotor re-surfacing first and be looking for some advice here and there. Thanks in advance brothers and sisters!

Welcome to TW from the east coat.

You can wash your filter in dish soap and warm water a number of times. There's even a write up on how to put together a washable one. Let me know if you're interested and I'll find the link.

    Jason,
Yes, I would like to know more about the washable air filter. I've heard about household air filters that are washed clean but never found anything. Let me know if you find a reasource for such an animal. The fine dust in the desert fills em up in no time.

It actually uses a washable household filter. Also if you want a washable filter for the engine I recommend afe pro dry S.
