    I am located in Chester springs, pa 2009 TRD Sport long bed 4 door, 2 inch bilstean lift with deaver custom rear leaves, toyota D4D 3.0 liter turbo Diesel engine swAp, 20 gallon custom aluminum extra fuel tank, amsoil oil filter bypass kit with second low flow rate 1 micron oil filter purifies oil every 5 min of run time, egr crankcase blowby oil catch can to avoid intake sludge build up. Truck is currently averaging 28 mpg city and 34 highway. With both tanks topped off range is 1,200 miles

    Will try to get to a meet sometime if there are any in chestr county

    Expensive to swap to diesel $25,000 can't import a hilux to USA govt will not let it in. I have a 2012 ranger ford 3.0 powerstroke in brazil costed $45,000 a hilux cost $75,000 in brazil. The ranger makes 200 hp and 350 do torque and has a 1 ton payload I had 3/4 ton load in the ranger was about 2 inches from bottom out rubber bumpers I ran 70 mph with ac running for 150km mixed roads highway and city averaged 13.6 km per litre which is 32 mpg that is awesome with a load like that, running empty 70- 80 mph with ac running I average 14.5 km per litre which is 34.5 mpg, my Tacoma with the gas engine empty gets 18 mpg and is weak on power. Fuel miles increase is about a 100% fuel mileage increase / double the distance on same amount of fuel is just incredible, also a 4 litre Tacoma with a 3/4 ton load running 70 mph would be lucky to get 12 mpg so the calculation gets better the heavier the load. Alot of $$$ for the swap but I was able to afford it and have the taco I always wanted

    The way I look at it is its like buying another vehicle... So I've owned my tacoma for 6 to 7 years now its been my only vehicle and its getting toward the end of its life... You send it to dieseltoyz in Texas they put new motor trans and computer system in it. You now basically have a new low mileage used vehicle.

    ... Will I ever do that probably not but on paper it sounds slightly reasonable
