Looks like a fun place to kill some time.

I was out in coal country the other week (Centralia) but i had my GFs CRV (and her whining when I drove it on dirt) so I couldnt wheel anywhere but theres definitely some awesome trails. i'm a little paranoid to do any serious rock stuff till my sliders come (should be any day, shockworks...) :whistle:

 

You need to be set up now to try & wheel Centralia - All the entrances are built up... I was able to make it over one but i scraped the shit out of my belly skid doing it.
Would not do it without.

Damn it. Was just talking to my sister-in-law's husband about Centrailia. He's originally from Hazelton, and still has family there. Said we should take the drive with them next time they visit, and thought I could do a little driving around Centrailia being so close. Lame.

Centralia is fun, I've been there a handful of times

 

The Whaleback is about a half mile up Bear Valley Road. When I was there last time that was our start and end point. It's cool just to go see that. We can also make a quick stop in Centralia as we go right by it. Maybe Centralia as the meeting spot then head out from there?

So who is down? I have Craig as maybe and Skip (Armyofsquirrels) so far?

There is nothing there a stock truck can't handle. LOTS of roads, mostly old coal roads but there are some side trails with rocks/hillclimbs. And MUD!

 

When is it? If its anytime soon I can't

 

I might be down for this. It is about an hour and half from me. I use to ride quads and dirt bikes up there often. I would like to wheel it.

 

Dang I can't make it Nov 3rd. Guess count me out.
