I'm in Rhode Island, not expecting more than a little wind and rain.

But here's a pic of the last hurricane that I remember causing any problems, Hurricane Bob from 1991

Eff the hurricane. I'm going camping. Hurricanes up in Mass are jokes anyway. The winter nor'easters are where it's at.

I'm kicking myself for not buying a portable generator a year ago.

Backstory: Trailer broke while I was in Nevada and I paid out the butt to have someone come and put it back together in the parking lot. The cost of the repair, which I had to redo properly when I got home, would have covered the cost of the generator. I swore that next time I was out there I'd have a generator and welder included with the rest of the tools.

Skip ahead a month and I talk myself out of the purchase, figuring I won't need it for awhile anyway. Now skip ahead to today when I live in a house that loses power when the guy down the block sneezes. This is gonna be an interesting couple of days.

The generator I ordered should arrive on Tuesday, but at least I'll have it for next time.
