I think you are, RI isn't big enough for more than one Tacoma!

ince I was going to be up in RI (grew up in Coventry) for a few weeks, I thought I'd check out who is up there..... Only two of you from this thread. I'll be hanging around the Charlestown area but will be roaming around the WW/Cov area too. Oh well, whatayagonnado?

Cumberland transplant from Warwick, where I was a transplant from CT.
Plenty of Tacos in the area, just not sure if they are members. I see at least 6 a day driving my 4 mile commute to work.

There's another Tacoma I always see in RI, usually around Woonsocket. Black quad cab, red sliders, six inch lift with stock tires. I wonder if they're on this forum.

    Where abouts?
I used to take my truck to Elite Auto, now on post road in Warwick. They used to work on my 96 when it needed work. They do toyota and lexus (now I see a few other brands). the owner knew I could wrench so a lot of times he would tell me the issue and I would deal with it on my own.

    Hey Bud,
I think you can drive on Barrier beach in Charlestown, but you need a beach pass.

I grew up in RI. Most of my family lives there. I am down that way fairly often. Arcadia can be fun place to go cruise through (especially when one might have a key to all the gates) :spy:

Is Arcadia legal(ish)? I was thinking of going by there today to mountain bike, and usually the 2 sports don't get along with each other!

Arcadia is an incredible place to mountain bike. I highly reccomend it for that. As for wheeling... Legal... ? Not 100% sure... Behind locked gates, probably not. Dont try during summer and hunting season, it is too busy and there will be those DEM "Environmental Police" around. As for the rest of the year. The place can be fun. Go at your own risk though.

So anyone else in RI paying a lot for the annual car tax? Woonsocket values my truck at $22900 and my bill is over $1000! I was hoping that after 4 years it would be under that by now.

I'm in RI and just joined TW. I just purchases a 2012 so I'll let you know once I get my new assessment. I'm in North Kingstown so I expect to get steamrolled.
