I sprayed mine of and stowed it in the garage for an evening. Blew the door jams out with the air compressor, wiped them dry, and put a tiny amount of silicone on all my door weatherstripping. Then i put it back out side for a 25 degree night. Went to open it in the morning and all was good; no ice at all.

I pretty much had to spray off at least the back because the rear window of the cap was so salt covered i couldn't even see headlights at night behind me through it.

Your snow melts to wash away the salt faster than it does up here. Plus they excessively waste salt on the interstate and don't use enough on side streets up here.

welcome to the DC area. haha they salt sidewalks in the city before even thinking about the roads out by where I live (about 45 min. north of the city). The first DOT/SHA plow truck I saw on my main road didn't come until it was already all melted Wednesday afternoon.. they never come down my street because its a dead end so a few of the guys at the end of the street do a few laps in their silverados/rubicons to make tracks for everyone else. haha

That salt brine they put down around here is killer though. It looks like milk coming out of the back of the truck and the rock salt is that nasty blue stuff that looks like rock candy and gets all over everything.

We plow our hilltop neighborhood with ATVs because the county/city doesn't do it to suit us when they actually do plow it.

yea haha I just really want to wash it off but it doesnt look like that's going to happen soon. I'm more worried about getting that undercarriage clean than anything else. I didn't have the time/forgot/was lazy and didn't get any fluid film on. It's brand new so it should be fine for now, but I figured I should start while I'm ahead.

Mine is an 08, and it has a cleaner frame than some 10s that i've seen. Because every spring i jack it up and spray down the undercarage with water, spray mean green/spray nine/or simple green on the whole underneath, then wait about two minutes and spray it all off with water. I will be undcoating it this spring with rust encapsolator.

Nice bumper Joe! You can put some LED pods in those recess areas. How are you going to do your tag light?
