You can tell even on the lower end? I'm curious if it would do anything for a completely stock truck.

 

All I have is a TRD exhaust.... Might as well be stock and yes you can notice it on the lower end.

TB spacers do nothing besides expand Venturi vac
Tornado intake does do anything
Intake mani spacers do nothing sides make the runner 1" longer and push the intake up higher.. Clearance issues?

Mike, like I was saying this is engineered this way. I don't know any specifics (nor would I understand them) but I am quite sure that when that Ferrari is changing the length of the intact runner it is measuring the velocity, intake air pressure and volume and temperature (as out trucks do) and adjusting the fuel and timing accordingly (which ours can only do to a point). I am sure that Toyota did not write the fuel maps to change for a difference that even a 1 inch longer intake might change it.
In 2007 or 2008 Toyota had to degrade the HP rating and torque on the Tacoma to be within the federal specs. I would think that they would have changed little things like this if it meant that the HP rating could stay up at or close to the same level.
