Seth, I forgot to tell you, 3 guys from my soccer team ran the Mudder last Saturday and they said it was harder than it was on Mount Snow the year before.

What a shitty monday... Anyone have any tips to get the top corner running lights out without taking the whole headlight out? I put some outdoor sealant on it to prevent moisture and liquid getting inside... Its not completely solid but still cant get it with my hand.

Some other people we talked to there said the same thing. Obstacles were easy, but a lot more up and down the mountain apparently than the one at Mt snow.

Wanna do a Spartan sprint in Amesbury in August with us? Its only a 5k, though the obstacles are a lot more physically demanding.

 

I can get my top corner bulbs just fine with the housing in place unplug them first, then untwist the bulb. You should be able to reach it just fine.

Possibly, August is going to be tough for me, that's really close to when the baby comes. There's another one at Fenway in November though

A co-worker of mine did the Amesbury one and said it was a lot of fun. The obstacles are tough but he had a blast doing it. I'll be tentative for August and likely a last minute add since I'd need to make sure Kendra is doing well before I ditch her for the day to go roll around in the mud

 

Seth, I just went to the Spartan website and this thing popped up to get $10 off any Spartan race. All I had to do was enter my e-mail address. If you want to do a race, you should get that coupon! It expires in 72 hours.

 

Damn I'll probably sign up now then. That's a decent deal.

 

I missed the one in Amesbury last year, but did the one in Fenway. It was a blast. Since they couldn't do mud/water/barbed wire there they doubled the amount of obstacles to 30. Some pretty brutal carrying of sandbags and 5 gallon Jerry cans up and down the stadium. Was pretty cool to finish across home plate.

 

I might sign up for that one in Fenway, that sounds like fun. Plus, I think you have to complete a Spartan Sprint before you can go after the Beast. Within the next 2 years, I will finish a Spartan Beast (or whatever the 13 mile one is called)!

 

That's my goal for next year. Half marathon, full obstacles

I find it sort of ironic that I absolutely despise running. I would never run even a 5k on the road. But I really enjoy these. Fortunately I have a 3.6 mile loop of trails I run in the conservation land adjacent to our neighborhood. Our else I'd probably never run.

 

I know some of you ride . This was yesterday afternoon . Guy was drunk , blew the light and took out the kid on the bike . Be safe out there .
