I'd recommend the 5s. Newest hardware and they're fairly cheap. If you're looking to budget, try the 5c

Im happy with iphone, had a few androids a couple of years ago and they were nothing but problems, they have improved greatly though. Honestly you are probably getting more for your money with a top of the line android. IMO iphone is more user friendly, and because so many people have them it is easier to learn from others how to use them if you are newer to smartphones.

GMC Topkick. Medium duty truck for serious towing. I've seen quite a few out west, towing the largest 5th wheel RVs and horse trailers. These guys don't drive 55 in the slow lane with their giant loads, and they don't slow down climbing the mountain grades. I think they are out of production, probably since the Duramax started coming in pickups.

We have Androids now. Hers is just dead. It's just the battery. She was thinking of getting an iphone 5 because they have the a metal case, bigger screen and you can get them cheap. Not sure on the newer ones.

Rob- what does Rachel need the phone to do?

Obviously be a phone, but what other features could she not be without. I only ask because when my mother moved to an iPhone She had the hardest time getting used to the battery life. With the iPhone, if she uses it a good amount expect to get about 1.5 days on one charge. Of course her mileage will vary depending on usage and signal quality.

I currently have the 4s and I seriously use it. Works leash. I have replaced my battery twice in 2 years.

A few of my coworkers have the Motorola Maxx/MAXX HD and I seen them literally go 5-7 days on one charge. And I know they receive 300-400 emails a day. 30-50 text and about 25 mins talking a day on them. A good portion of them are from me...

The flat out fact is moving from android to iPhone there is a learning curve. It is just different. But the same is said moving in the opposite direction. Depending on the wireless provider they should let you get the one she wants and return if she hates it within 30 days. Ask yours what the policy is. Have her use it for the 20 days and if she hates/dislikes it take it back. That is the only way she will definitely know what she likes or not.
All obviously within budget of course.

Personally I will be moving to the 5s in December.

Rob I bought the S3 and love it and all the shit it can do. I was told the big difference between Android and Apple is memory can be added to Android, the battery is an easy change on Android and they are more customizable. After reading David's post about battery life I have to go back to ATT and have it looked at cause I get a day out of mine with minor use

Started reading into wiring a reverse camera

I know my head unit will display the rear view camera at any time, but just running the wires to the right place and having it activated by the reverse lights as well has me confused as hell.

My plan is to install my camera in my swingout bumper when I get it this winter (hopefully)

Might install a second one in the front bumper for wheeling. I would have to figure out a switch for that though. Not really my forte
