We're lucky, we have a propane stove that we can use, no power needed. We also have a lot of those old kerosene lanterns so we're good to go. Generator will keep the house warm also.

Getting an external tank and propane stove will be one of the next upgrades for the house.

And maybe getting it plumbed for a fireplace in the bedroom:anonymous:

Ive got the reg gas grill, but I have a little coleman tailgating grill that is perfect to cook on.

Chainsaw has gas and is ready to go, so is the snowblower

Putting the generator outside with a tarp is a good idea. I was worried about someone stealing it, but if its covered with feet of snow, I guess noone will notice it.

We have a few cases of Ramen, and shit load of vodka, 2 bottles of Johnny Walker Black, and other assorted tasty adult beverages. Seems prepared enough for me.

Where do I get Startron from? Have to make sure my fuel for my snowblower is good..and drain the old crap out, I think that's the problem.

Not nearly prepared enough... I've got 2 bottles of vodka, amaretto, 2 bottles of kahlua, a handle of baileys, Knob Creek bourbon, various schnapps bottles, Jameson, Crown Royal, 3 or 4 different bottles of tequila, at least 3 bottles of Captain, LOTS of mixers, a case of hard cider and some miscellaneous beers in the fridge :D

I can't remember if I get it at Advanced Auto or Autozone but it's definitely one of those 2.

How long has the gas been in there? Also, are you using high test or 87?

The stuff in there now is old, close to a year. I bought a gallon a month ago which is sitting in the garage..87 I believe.

Carb jets/ passages are probably clogged if gas has been in there a year. My need a rebuild. Try to only use high test in it as well.

I did shut the fuel shutoff valve and ran it dry off what was in the lines last season..and good idea on the high test.

Gotcha. That should have prevented any clogging.

Thank the Lord for small favors. If it still acts up I'll probably just buy a new one. It's an old 4hp Ariens..small but I don't have a big driveway. That said, it cost me around $200 last year and if it needs more at what point am I throwing good $$ after bad..
