Hey guys, just joined the forum and Taco world as of yesterday. I'm new to the truck scene in general but have been in various forums and am a mod-happy person. Any other Taco guys in the region?

Thanks for the welcomes guys; I'm from Wilmington and always down for some meets. It's always easier to learn more about these things when speaking face-to-face with other owners and checking theirs out. I'll definitely have to check out the free/cheap mods for sure

hey delaware people...and anyone else for that matter - I'm trying to decide whether to do a 2.25" leveling kit for the front + a 1" block for the rear or not; also, does lifting the taco void any of the warranties? thanks

I would say no it doesnt void any warranties, I got my lift done through my dealership and the only thing they wont do that voids the warranty is power adders.

Thanks, and it looks like you use the same dealership that I do. Here's another question real quick then - I don't want to lift my truck much, just a bit to give it nicer stance; Would you recommend blocks or an AAL and 5100's? I don't want to sacrifice much as far as the ride quality goes but I do want to beef the back up a bit because I'll be towing motorcycles and gear pretty often and I only have a 3 leaf pack in the rear.

Honestly I have a 3" lift on mine with a leveling kit and it does not sacrifice the ride. I am currently towing my 2004 mustang on an open car trailer and have no problems. I have towed motorcycles many many times and it pulls with no problems and they have been full sized harleys at that.

As far as the dealership, im very good friends with the servicing manager and use only one guy in the back who is one of their top mechanics, no one else touches my truck and they all know that :D

Did you do a full 3" suspension lift or did you just use blocks?
