Anyone see that episode of Dirty Jobs where they pulled out a hummer with a few guys, a bunch of rope, chains and pulleys? I need to learn to do that in case I ever get stuck somewhere.

 

Get a 6ton come-along! That's my trusty trail winch!

 

Ya I saw that one the Army went and got it stuck on purpose just to mess with him. They had him runnin the rope back and forth

 

PLEASE get this strap instead ( no hooks) HF # 67232 is a 2"x 20' long recovery strap; $16.99 instead BUT NO HOOKS !!!!!

 

Yea, I would like that one please Jason! I don't like hooks, especially when I have shackles. Much safer

I was also looking at this last time I was there, could come in handy. Good choice or no?

Just to update that updated list, I'm not bringing water and soda because we had agreed earlier that it would be better for us to bring our own drinks.

 

Picked up the straps and shovel today. Forgot to get a piece of wood while I was out. I should probably look in the basement or attic, I might already have something.

I should have posted this when you first wrote it.
I don't know why but when I saw that you posted for some reason the first thing that popped in my head is that you weren't gonna be able to make it. Don't take that the wrong way, I just must have had ESP for a moment there.

Just saw the preliminary weather forecast and it looks like rain in the PM. Anybody want to set a rain date?

 

Weather.com has it as partly cloudy with chance of rain only 20% as of right now. I missed the local news forcast tonight.
