Snow Dogging

Got a 13 prerunner 4X2. How are they in the snow and ice? Do you need tires or chains? Don't want to drag it down the street.

 

first try putting a couple hundred pounds of sand bags right over the axle and that should be good enough. if you dont think that is then go out and buy some winter specific tires.

 

x2 except I put weight at the front of the bed. I lived in upstate NY with a 2wd pickup for several years and never had a problem. Just make sure you have good tires (they don't necessarily need to be winter specific) and go light on the skinny pedal.
