He never had a chance, Alex, I walked in and told him exactly what I wanted. One test drive and the next day I had it home. :) Aside from the haggling over my trade-in, it was the easiest sale that guy ever made.

Ok, I got the 21st outta work. How about some definite attendance and what you can bring. Rain or shine we can always eat good. I'm bringing a small grille and will man it. Venison steak, burger and sausage. We can set up the tailgates in the pit. Will be good to meet some new enthusiasts as well. I know its a long ride for some and a good grilled piece of meat beats Wendy's any day and will fuel the tanks for the ride home. Might be my last trip for a little while cause hunting season is here and I gotta work as much as possible for my spring mod list. Let's make it a good one.:D. Oh yeah, and Dave can entertain us with his new Ford. Hahaha

Looks like we need a good list. Mr. super trail meet planer (alex) should get a list going, i will bring something, just don't know what i should bring. Cooler full of drinks maybe? Maybe some hot dogs, chips? Alex do your job. The problem is to much B.S. in this thread haha.

Yota*. I got the engine in Friday night and broke a drive shaft like no other yesterday morning. Don't do hole shots on a stock shaft. BABOOM

Again, Dave and all y'all, I meant no offense. When I went to get my first Tacoma in '97 I just asked them where the big Toyota trucks were (remember that this was before the TRD era), and the guy took me to the only SR5 V6 they had at Boch in Norwood. They wanted the big sale, and they sold me. So I ASSumed then that all of the 4x4s were V6s. Loved that truck, had no regrets...until I perhaps offended people here. Mea culpa.

The T100s were definitely on my radar after I bought my Taco, but I didn't want a full-size truck, so I didn't cry about it...but I looked at it a lot. It wasn't a high production truck in '97, and so it was not heavily marketed, or well-received at first. Most dealerships didn't even have one on the lot in '97. It took a year or two for the T100 to find its place in the American truck world. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T100

The T-100 is only slightly larger than our 2nd gen Tacomas right?

Yeah, it's not higher, but it's wider, which is the only reason to get a full-size p'up. The wider body and higher bed walls. It's not better off-road or in snow.

Beg to differ. I love my t100 off road. I'd put it up against my taco every day. Only downside to the t100 at all that I can find is torsion bars, which can be fixed with installing some coilovers. I bought my 98 in 2006 and will never part with it. Greatest truck ever. Has never let me down.

I believe our 2nd gens frames are based off of the T-100's frame, I could be wrong though.

Hi Patrick - In my experience Tacomas are the best trucks available. On and off-road. They have never let me down in any way, shape, or form, and we live in NE. :) I'm glad you love your T100, I like that truck. I was just saying it was not the truck for me (the reviews are not my responsibility).
