Pittsburgh Meet & Greet in honor of HomerTaco's visit

Hi all, Pittsburgh Meet & Greet in honor of HomerTaco's visit next week. A few of us have talked about it in the PA thread already and there was a few local guys interested, so hopefully everyone can make it out. Will be good to meet some local owners and of course meet the king of the satoshi grill .

The meet will be Wednesday March 20th, at Primanti's. HomerTaco is staying on Mcknight Rd, so I figure the closest Primanti's to him is either downtown, or the strip district. We all know the strip is the original and the best, and his convention is also at the Convention center. My vote is the strip district, I haven't been to the downtown one in a while and can't remember what parking is like. If anyone has other location suggestions, my main worry is easy parking. Being a wednesday, it shouldn't be too busy. Also, I'm thinking somewhere between 4 and 5pm.

The wife is off Wednesday so hopefully I can make this meet then head to work afterward. Btw guys where exactly is this primantis store? idk if I've been to that one. And unfortunately I don't think I will have my grille done by then unless I can fix my soldering iron to attach my outer trim but I will try. Should be all I have left after 2moro.

 

Last time I was around Craig at a meet he got everybody high on homeroshi fumes...I'm skeptical

 

You familiar with the strip district? It's on 18th st, right off Smallman st.

 

We should probably park in the back at the old stockyards or whatever and just walk there I'm thinking.

 

Yeah, that's the only issue, parking. Only way around that is to go to a different one. This is obviously the closest one to Homer. I'd love for all of us to park together somehow.

 

Whomever is closest just has to scout out the lot and claim the spaces with chairs

 

And than get in fights with people when they move them.

 

I have only been into Pittsburgh a few times other than the many trips to west penn hospital during the pregnancy. I hate driving around in the city, my clutch is murder with stop and go..

 

Got ya, the strip district is not as bad as town. You have a GPS? If not, I can probably give you some directions from where your coming from. Smallman st runs pretty much the whole length of the Strip, so once your on that street, your good. Everything in the Strip is off of Smallman st.

 

Yea I have the GPS you speak of.. I usually have no problem finding things with it and I update the maps every 3 months. I have to finalize with the wife when she gets home today to make sure the kids are watched. But for now I have to finish the grille so my front end stops lookin like crap for almost a year now
