Powertrax is an auto locker/ lunch box locker, w/e you want to call it. Its good, but its not selectable so you would likely need to alter your driving style on the street. Otherwise they are actually pretty damn good. You just cant gun it around corners or it'll lock up and stress the axles/ gears etc...

And they can make clicking/ banging sounds when locking/ unlocking. A lot of guys run them in the rear, specifically Aussie(not available for rear taco diffs), in their Toyota pickups(pre-tacoma). Check out yotatech. A lot more people using that type of locker on dd's there than here.

I know i dont need it for Rausch...lol...just motivation. I'm in full mod mode these days. I'll settle down once the xtra funds dry up which wont be long the way i'm going. I have big plans. Trying to make a decent expedition rig out of this without a $A$. In a year or so i get the wifes 2001 XJ to make a fully blown trail rig out of. Probably be towing it to Rausch with the Tacoma in the future. Will see. Got a lot a little mod's to keep me busy before July. I'm like a little kid. Psyched about this trip. First timer

The nice thing is you can install them using hand tools. No need to mess with gears, set backlash, etc... you're not touching the carrier, just the diff .

Middle of the road would be a Detroit locker. Supposed to be less harsh than powertrax/lockrite. But it replaces the carrier and diff, so you need to re set your gears when your done. Its priced between powertrax and arb. Still an auto locker, just less harsh on the street.

If you go with the ARB, get the $260. compressor that way you'll have on board air.

You get one free run with the club before you have to join. Takeover does not count against that though. It is in Winchendon, MA.

May have to see about this run, always wanted to go down there. May bring the woman but she might have to couch a tournament that weekend so we will see. We'd be camping out there, not a big fan of hotels....

Tyler you should make the trip,It's a great time!:)
I'm the opposite i prefer a hotel over camping, there was a time when the kids were younger that we camped a lot, my old bones prefer a bed to the ground now.;)
