It's not that far from me....30-40min tops.

I'd guess each is at around the 50-70k mark

Ill have one this fall as soon as shit at work settles down.

Just made myself a Yota specific brake bleeder/flush machine so I can do brake flush's all day :D. Screw using those universal tops that clamp over the master cylinder with chains and BS. I borrowed jdmcq's a few years ago but could never get it to seal due to my lack of patience. I ended up buying a OE cap for $12 and I epoxied a 1/4" barb to it.. walla.... custom Yota bleeder.

Woot! New shocks just landed at my work.

Now it would be even better if the resi mounts weren't on back order :(

Zip ties and duct tape here we come...

No but they are the first steps to a dead hooker.

And that's why they built AC so close to the pines, makes the disposal that much easier.

Which mounts? The hose clamps to mount it to the frame or the hose clamps and rubber isolator to mount it to the shock body?

Universal steel mounts. They can be welded or drill a hole and bold them. I will be cutting them down and mounting them just like icon does but inverted so the bolt is on top. Icon seems to have the best resi mount I could find, but no way I was going to pay their crazy prices for them. I also done like the way they have the bolt on the bottom fighting gravity.

Oh yea... to the frame. No piggy back. Seems they will get dinged less on the frame.

Soooooo DSMS told me they did not come with mounts.. I just opened them up and they came with piggy back mounts (rubber and hose clamps). Now do I save myself some cash/time and mount them piggy back stylz and cancel my order or wait weeks and move them later on

:notsure:

Ill sleep on it while considering pro's and con's.

I also thought I would be getting crappy steel resi like most of us have seen rust away in one winter season. To my surprise on the outside of the box had a bright neon green sticker that states:

"ATTENTION Equipped with new black reservoir. Use clamp 803-02-044."

I did some looking around tonight and it turns out DSMS's website and just about everyone's but Fox's hasn't been updated and Fox just recently changed to a hard anodized aluminum resi for their 2.0 series. They are also changing over to aluminum shock bodies, but not this series yet.

Per Fox:
"Anodized aluminum external reservoirs allows for increase oil and nitrogen capacity while delivering striking race look."

"Includes a new black anodized aluminum reservoir that increases cooling efficiency."

"The precision metal impact aluminum body increases cooling capacity and will never rust."

:woot::bananadance::broccoli: One less thing to rust

so you don't fall in the hole?

I'm looking at fox right now because they have a 11" travel shock but I need to get measurements when I relocate to see if they will fit or not

Their pro series 2.0 non-resi has aluminum bodies. Check out their website...seems they are releasing new stuff right now and many companies selling them have yet to update their sites. If it had the right numbers I would of gone non-resi so they wouldn't rust. I have zero need for a remote shock and only got them to prolong the life of the oil and seals. I noticed most trucks Ive driven in with remote resi shocks are harsh in cold temps until you warm them up.

also if your changing shock locations please get rid of that crappy stud mount style...it really limited my choices. Eyes seem to be more readily available in various sizes.

In case your wondering Fox's numbers are spot on as advertised/specified in my case. First thing I did was install the shock mount washer/bushing and measure from top of the bottom bushing to center of the eye.
