Nope. My dad is in the shipping and scanning and duplicating business. Ships 500+ items to one location 3 times a year 60k + at a time for nonprofit pharmaceutical research company.

I got the letter a few weeks ago but my frame is in good shape. Interested to see how a modded truck makes out with this inspection.

If yours is in good shape you should just go and get the undercoat... Although I did see on the TW facebook that one guy had overspray all over the place... Fender flares rocker panel even on the exhaust and passenger door.

That undercoating is good shit. Same thing they did to 1st gens. I had it done years ago, I could probably still find spots that are gooey from it.

My brothers truck came with it when he got it... it was a pain in the ass to get cleaned up so we could get sliders welded on. I guess thats a good thing though, sticks to the truck like crazy and the frame looked mint under it.

Saw it on first gens... The one I saw was a rubbery consistancy type paint... Looked like fucking plasti dip but way stronger and thicker...

Yep. I don't think that shit ever fully dries... Or if it does it has a soft consistency but sticks like gorrilla glue

Yeah that shit is nasty... Wouldn't want to be the pne painting it on... Gotta wear a hazmat suit so it doesn't get on ya lol

Did you paid for it or was it part of some preventive recall?

No cost, part of the recall check. If frame had a hole in it they either bought back or replaced the frame depending on truck value. If frame was okay they sprayed it with the undercoating. Mine was under coated a couple of years ago still going strong except the rear c channel

    Mine was undercoated too.

And a week afterwards I got it muddy, and now the frame is forever brown and tacky.

    Shitframe!

Same. When ant did my sliders it was a bitch to clean the frame. My c channel needs to be hit though.

I'm in the "let it rust out and give me a new frame" boat. Plus, in 3 years when my 15 yr warranty is up they might switch to just buying back the truck instead of swapping frames

make sure you get the right ones.. the first set they sent me were for a first gen.

and if you haven't read the installation instructions yet, read them. they do not mount the way you expect them too.

I have way to much work into this truck to let that happen in wiring alone. Hard to let go something I've put hours of mod time in.
