Buying the most built rig for the money does not at all make it a good deal. There are a bunch of rigs on here that I would take a stock truck instead of. The only worse than a project is a project someone else started and now you have to figure out what they did to fix it.

He's using that true car app so he atleast has a starting point for negotiating. Most dealers don't have any 2014 left overs and have only started receiving 2015s though. Galaxy Toyota only has 3 tacomas in their lot. 2 are used, all are 2 wheel drive.


Oh and the trd off road... Monkey proof has blown like 5 sets of gears, jandrews, NYCO, and many more. Just lucky no one local has had it happen.

Our ops manager swears by truecar. He said every car / truck he buys personally and for the company, he uses it. My Grand Cherokee was snickered for $39,900 and he got it for $35,900. Personally I've always used Edmunds. Not sure which is better. My 2010 Taco stickers for $21,400 and I got it for $18,400 using Edmunds.

For Ant's price id buy it... If i could afford it... Id just have to sell my truck and get rid of the loan and get a new loan which would probably be cheaper any how.

 

the price he was asking was extremely reasonable. like you pointed out before, even for a stock truck thats a good price.

the problem with ants rig is that yes, its nicely equipped, but its been submerged multiple times. water in the cab is never good. there are a lot of electrical connections that have gotten wet, as well as probably the ecu.

maybe it will never have major problems, but you never know. its just like a car thats been in a flood, except ant has done a good job drying it out.

 

And he's not going to sell it - unless he wants a falcon punch to the nads.
