Looks cool with the corners cut at 45s' but making them 90s' would be less work and probably more efficient use of the space.

Anybody have any experience with the Dodge Dakota? My coworker is selling his '04 4x4 Sport Quad Cab. 155k miles. Has a rebuilt trans. Has an exhaust leak, but otherwise in pretty decent shape. I asked him how much, and he said if I wanted it, $500. Thinking about picking it up.

That was my thoughts. I originally was offering it to my dad as he always wanted a pickup, but he seems to be shying away from it.

That's not a bad deal. Someone gave me a 2000 Dodge Durango (Sandy Victim) last summer I made more then $500.00 on it between striping and selling parts and scrapping it.

Nice! That was one thought I had, fix it up and sell it. But I dont think I would sleep at night getting a good deal on a vehicle from a coworker and then profiting on it.

Thanks for the info! Good to know. I haven't seen it in about a year and a half and I understand it has only been run to move it in that time. When I last saw it, it was in excellent shape physically and running wise. Not long after he started working for us, he got a company car, so he parked the Dakota. He lost the title and is waiting on it from TD Bank. As soon as he gets it, I'm going to go look at it and see what happens.

Ironically, my next door neighbor has one around the same year. Not sure if its the same problem you mention above, or of something else, but she doesn't sound too good.

Check all the brake lines and trans lines(if it's an auto), all mine rotted out on my '99 Durango and they're pretty much the same. Good news is they weren't very expensive or difficult to replace.
