Yeah it was grimed up pretty bad and I had no idea till we used it at Rausch. Hit the pins with brake kleen and then silicone spray to lube it up and now it's flawless.

thats probably the biggest issue with them if they are left outside or just get dirty. mine always sticks until I lube it up because its outside 24/7.

I actually have found one and will be getting it in June.:D

Yeah so is mine though I think this was just also due to lack of care by the previous owner. I'm kind of glad I had these issue though because it really made my pay attention to how the pins engage and disengage and lets me be able to trouble shoot it if I ever have issues again.

I'd keep some lube around for it.

Another thing you may want to look into is a repair kit. I have one in my bag just in case something breaks. Ive had the jack for over 5 years and never broke anything, but it's my only resource for pulling myself out until I rebuild this winch pAP gave me.

Yeah I rarely wheel solo right now so I'm not too concerned. When I do start going on more solo adventures I will pick one up. I always have some sort of lubricant and various oils/cleaners in the truck all the time anyway.

    can't use 15" wheel anyway

no one cares about your gay ass grocery getter!
    :p

    :jerkoff:

Coolers full of ice are great at a party or for an over night trip, but fridges are great. even just the fact that I can go grocery shopping and toss the cold stuff in the fridge instead of running home to put everything away makes it helpful. But I love that I don't have to worry about getting ice or having water get in my food or whatever. fridge will pay for its self unless you can get ice for free everywhere you go. figure $5 for ice for a weekend, maybe 10x a year is $50. I have seen info of arb fridges lasting 10 years plus, so over 10 years thats $500. plus week long trips where you need more ice. I paid under $700 shipped and its been running since the day I got it. only been empty a couple times and just to clean it.
and you don't know how the people in the group buy will be using theirs so just because you don't think you need one doesn't mean they don't. :brianr:

Davis is coming over in a little while for a winch install.

x10. scared the shit out of me the first time I was stuck up in the air and wouldn't release.

have you ever hiked the whole trail?

So what did you decide about the tires? I still think you're best bet is 285s since your wheels are so wide.
