I'm living in east haven. Don't think I've seen anyone off here yet. Any small dirt trails or old fire roads in the area. Been trying to find something with little luck so far

Just got back from my first offroad adventure with my Taco. Truck is only a month old and stock except for the wheels so I just wanted to take the truck through the woods and off the pavement without getting my first scratch or abusing it. Found a nice little spot in Oxford that is only about 1 or 1.5 miles long but perfect for what I wanted to start out with. Begins as a public dirt/gravel road and ends with a logging road with more mud, washed out areas, and rocks to maneuver through. Ended up coming out with nothing more than some mud on my truck (no scratches) and was happy with how my truck performed. Went through no problem. If youre a serious off-roader with experience than it probably wouldnt impress you or be worth your while. But if you have a new/stock truck and want to get a taste of offroading I think you would like it. Would only recommend it if you have a pre-runner/TRD package since the higher clearance was definitely needed for alot of the rocky areas. Some parts of the road were right on the limit of what I would be willing to take my truck through although I am sure it could handle a lot more. Name of the road is Old Litchfield Tpk. and I went in at the parking lot for the reservoirs. Logging road came out right onto Chestnut Tree Hill Rd. If anyone tries this trail out let me know what you think!

What is you work schedule like? Everyonce in awhile i take a early day during the week. Really busy lately so it might be hard to plan a little trail run but ill hit you up sometime, maybe we could figure something out.

I'm in Willington (yes, Willington Pizza), just lifted my 2012 DCLB and added new rims and tires. Good to see so many checking in from the Quiet Corner!

You were over by the Seymour resivours. I haven't been down there in a long, long time. years ago, I used to run around the back side of Oxford airport by Towanic Hill, but I think that's been all developed.

Back in Hampton roads, VA we used to do a lot of mod days, wheeling trips, getting together at restaurants, stuff like that. I'm still learning the area but I'm sure we could come up with some where central enough for everybody. Thoughts, any interests?

I wouldnt be into wheeling since my truck is new (lame i know) and mostly stock but I think a meetup at a resturant would be cool . Maybe something like buffalo wild wings or a similar place? What is a mod day? People help each other work on their trucks or just check out things others have done?

A while back I had mentioned going to a brewery. There are quite a few in CT. It's hard to coordinate everyone's schedules but I'm certainly down for a meet. I personally won't wheel simply bc if I dun goof and break something, I have no extra funds for repairs.

Alright guys, I'd be down for a buffalo wild wings meet or something similar. I have a weird schedule and I'm not sure what would be close enough for everyone.

Milford mightttttt be something of a meeting point. The brewery I was thinking of is in Stratford. Other options would include the Berlin Turnpike. Berlin/Newington part/
