My advice is to make friends with someone at a garage that does inspections. Well as long as you dont have any codes you might be alright depending how close they actually look at the pipes

PA inspections are done via private garages. You'll have to find one that will look the other way regarding your cats/exhaust. Emissions is now done via OBDII, so as long as you're not throwing codes you should be OK.

I don't think they do an actual emissions test unless you live in Philly or Pittsburgh. PA does it emissions based on per capita. My county doesn't do any testing other than visual presence of emission components. The county next to mine only does a gas cap check. Here is the State Code for emissions. I think you will be required to have a cat though.

Depends on where you live.

I live in Lancaster county and we get emmissions tested. Aside from the gas cap check & visual inspection, I'm pretty sure they hook up to the OBD port and run diagnostics.

If you drive less than 5,000 miles per year, you're exempt from the emmissions test - although, they still do a visual check. You're exhaust system has to be intact with CAT and in good working order.

Pumo420 - Welcome to PA!! I don't know about how Florida is, but PA tends to be strict about a lot of things (yearly inspections).
