They don't have to experiment any more cause they screw things up pretty good as it is. Why practice to get better at it.

    Hey Guys,

So I know its not motorcycle season up here for much longer but I am in the process of trying to move my 2006 Honda 599 sportbike before I head down to FL for my next assignment (USCG). Need some cash to make some payments on the Tacoma too. I've advertised this bike on craigslist and a few other threads on TW so I figured I would throw it on the Maine one too... take a look:

"Up for sale is my 2006 Honda 599. Currently located in Auburn, ME. Bike is in near mint condition for age with 6,370 miles. All OEM equipment and oil changed every 2k miles. Not a single maintenance issue with it. Asking $5,000 but am open to any reasonable offers. Bike will be available in Maine until Dec 1st after which it will travel south down to FL with me to my next military assignment if not sold by then."

I'm pretty flexible on price (don't want to give it away obviously) as I am trying to prevent having to trailer it down to FL and sell it there. I might try to make it down to the meet with you all on Sunday, can bring this baby too if anyone would like to check it out.

Either way let me know if you, or anyone you know is interested!

    Thanks guys,

    -Jake

Purdy. If I didn't already have two bikes I'd totally be interested, even though I prefer my sportbikes with fairings.
    Good luck on the sell!

    Question though;
You're moving someplace where you can ride year-round, and you're selling the bike? Are you planning on getting something else once you get down there?

    ^ Thanks Noel!

I don't want to see it go but I am really not going to have too much time to ride down there as I will be busy with training and would like to free up the cash to get some other items like the truck taken care off. Another bike might be down the road...maybe something bigger, I love the Honda 919... we'll see. Spread the word to anyone you know that may be interested!!!

I'll pass the word to friends and relatives, but I seem to have reached a point over the last couple of years where all of my friends are selling their motorcycles because they're having children. Three years ago I had a group of about 10 friends who rode; now I mostly ride alone when I go places. But's that's fine, I still enjoy it just as much.
Whereabouts in Maine are you located, in case anybody's interested?

Having ridden in Florida too many times, I can completely understand not taking this or owning a bike there. No curves, totally boring. If I lived there, I'd own a nice Yamaha wave runner instead. ;)

If I had cash, I'd be interested. But, just the wrong timing.... damn!

Wish you lived closer to the NH line... What bikes do you own? My wife and I both ride Yamaha FZ1 bikes. Her bike is fully faired, mine is half-naked.

I've got a Suzuki M50 cruiser that I use as my DD during the summer, and I've also got a little Ninja 250 that I bought when I was commuting an hour one way (can't beat 70mpg!) and just held onto when I changed jobs because it's a fun little machine.
Plus, it's a 2004, and it's got around 10k on it (7k of which were from that first summer). It's in good shape, but I couldn't get more than $1500 for it if I wanted to sell it, and the girlfriend rides it occasionally as well, so I figure it's worth it just to have.

    Noel,

I'm located in Auburn, ME (south/central) if any of your friends are interested and willing to travel to meet up for showing if the interest is there as well.

Well damn it, now I'm trying to think why I haven't seen your truck driving around. I live and work across the river; I work in Loserton and live between Monmouth and Sabattus.

So, we are still on for Sunday the 3rd (after the clocks roll back) for 3pm at Dave's?

Who's bringing a spouse? My wife is basing her attendance on who else has a female with them. :D
