This might be a stretch but do any of you run 33x10.5 BFG AT's? Wanna get a real world aka PNW review on the tires. How are they in the rain and Mt hood's wet snow? Should I run the 12.5 or or stick with the 10.5?

I've heard there's more forest service and fire access roads than there are paved streets in that area of oregon. Which would be epic

No holes, it's just two J hooks.. they go right into the channel on the rack.

It's fairly stable, enough to hold 5 gallons of water.

When I was up there and had the bfg at's.... they sucked horribly in the rain on the street for sure, I didn't test much snow/trails because I was 2wd at the time I was running them.

I used to have a set in the 90s, so I wont compare. The reason is, if I'm not mistaken, the newer BFG TaKo's might have a severe weather rating. I haven't seen a bad tire with that rating in the snow yet. The set I had wasn't fun in the snow unless fresh and dryer.

Anybody have issues with duratracs in the rain? With the rugged trails I would sometimes lose traction going up steep hills in the rain on pavement and pulling out in traffic like turning right at a red light with oncoming traffic was a nightmare. The duratracs are better but I still have to be so gentile on the throttle when pulling into traffic to get out ahead of the oncoming cars. If not I sit and spin or in some cases the back kicks out. Maybe I suck AT driving in the rain but I just thought that the duratracs would be better

I'm in Medford. I love it here and i moved here a few years ago from Ouray, Co. I dont see (personally) any kind of crime (I read about it). I do run into the occasional meth head, but i chalk that up to the population and living off the i5. I am in East Medford in the higher end ($) part of town. If you do get down this way there are a few of us in our group that get out and go wheeling, fishing, camping, skiing, just about everything you can think of outdoors. Look me up.

Took off the factory... rock deflectors? ... not much of skids at about 8lb for both total.
Took the anti-sway bar off too, f$%*'in twisty bastard.
After an oil change, The epic Tallon skid plate goes on. I suspect the net difference will only be around +40lb or so.

Is it just me, or did my truck lift about 1" up front by just removing the sway bar?

I just measured to confirm it too.

I'm not convinced, my driveway is rather bumpy and truck was was moved..... might have a new fancy flat one by fall. ... so no I didn't just answer it ..:(

I guess the real question for clarity would be... for those who done it, did you see that much change too.

Update, its about 1/4" or a slight bit more after a bit of driving and bouncing in a nearby field, think I just needed to get it to settle in. Added sway is hardly noticeable w/o the bar.

I'm going to say it's you - easy up on the gas there, McQueen!
You can get the back loose in KM2s and Bighorns, too. There's no weight back there and a good deal of torque. It doesn't help that you are turning, either :p

Wow. After watching it, Mike, I feel like I missed out on a flashmob on the bad side of town last night. My fav part is where they dance in unison with their facemasks still on. Drink a bit much Sat nt? : )
