I have a 97 Powerstroke with 330k on it and have never had a problem :) sounds like a sticky injector to me!

    This is mine!

Nice! Yeah I'm diving deep into forums to read about what it could be. I finally found one that sounds completely like mine. Goes away above idle and isn't present when the truck is cold.

Yes, 5.9. I had an extra .1 litre of Cola next to me at all times :D. I agree the that older rams sucked as far as build goes. The new ones are nice though. I had 2010 (sold to my dad) 3500 Laramie. Out of all my trucks, that one was the nicest. It has 57K on it now and no problems so far and I don't expect any. If I were to buy another truck it would be a 2010+ Ram. I'm done with Ford. I've had too many problems with them to ever go back. If you want to swing by Seattle I'll take a look at your truck for you.

I'm all the way down in Eugene but I appreciate you willing to help. I'm a lifelong Ford guy. Served my family well for a long time. I'm open to cummins as well, just will never touch a Chevy.

They do make pretty sweet kits to drop a 5.9 cummins into this truck, Ford tranny and everything. That would be sweet.

    Me too. We'll see.

My friend just did a cummins conversion in his 08 powerstroke and he said its the best decision he ever made. But cost him upwards of 15k to do.

Anyone ever tour/eat at a Rogue brewery/open house?

I'll be in Astoria Sunday and want to go there. I love their beer, and after reading the menu, I pretty much want to live there.

Never ate there, but I was at the Newport brewhouse last month. I actually find very few of their beers appealing, but that's because they are an ale-based company. I stick with the Irish Lager. My cousin swears by the Oatmeal Stout. The two of us can agree on XS Dead Guy or the Chocolate Stout.
