So...I have a nasty grinding and clucking noise coming from the driver side rear hub. Blown axle bearing?

 

Or mud in the brakes. Only one way to know for sure.

 

Would mud in the drums do that? There is also a shudder when I'm braking hard.

 

Last Tuesday, I had my right front bearing replaced as it was shot.
But the sound came from the left front?!?!

Had the tie rod ends replaced at the same time.

Symptoms:
- odd growl when at highway speed gradually turning right but quiet when turning left.
- braking to a stop, then let off brake pedal and steering wheel would turn to the right about 1/8 turn but would track properly.
- slight toe in on both so that the outer edges of KM2s were wearing down (probably due to the slop in the bearing and the TREs)
- jacked up front of Yeti, grabbed right wheel from base and it tilted about 1/2 inch out, same on top and side to side = FAIL.

I had to Wallet Mechanic it, as I don't have those tools nor location nor time.

 

i should have new leaf springs in the mail..... cross your fingers (i've heard it many a times before they were in the mail...) Jonnie install them for me?

i plan to remove the overload and my aal and put these ones in. so i don't think i need extended ubolts. shouldn't need anything else aye? will buy new shocks one day but for now piss on it.
