I have looked into that, but I am not currently LT so it would look goofy IMHO. It would also be like 4x as much and I would still have to buy the grille/headlights

 

Unfortunately is gonna look goofy no matter what because your front is going to be way wider than the rest of the body :/

 

I am going to cut the grill down and custom satoshi it so it will be less wide. Or that is my thought anyway...

I don't think it would look goofy at all. This truck isn't that wide, and $850 isn't too bad price wise.



I think I like the tundra conversion better though, and you don't have to buy a grill!

 

I've got it priced out to be right under 250 including the lights and the grill, I just can't quite sit on 200$ worth of headlights if I cant get them to fit I don't mind messing up a 30$ grill

 

I really don't think you could get them to fit without looking hillbilly. They have some strange curves to them that just wouldn't match the lines of your fenders, and they are too wide. You'd have to section the grill.

 

That's the plan I am also planning on cutting out some of the fender so they fit nice and snug, but this is all coming from my head as I haven't gotten my hands on any headlights to see how exactly it would need to get done

 

Headlights are cheap! They always come up in the oregon/washington craigslist ads. I bought a spare set in perfect condition for $50

 

=O I will have to keep an eye out for those then. Or hope someone on here is able to let me see theirs

Hey all, I'm taking a horribly long time to buy my shocks (mo projects mo problems, yo). However, I'm trying to make sure I've got everything thought out and trying to wrap up proposal to DSM by the end of the week.

Before I do that, can anyone else confirm if their springs work like mine? Apparently I'm too boring for the mid travel guys unless I pull the drive shaft apart and test more, and I haven't had the time to get that in depth.

The springs area tad longer than stock, and designed differently so you really can't compare unless the other guy also has AP springs. If you had a different shackle on there you could get a bit more travel out of those, but not enough to write home to ma about. The reason I say that is because the leaf pack is starting to splay out already, and that's about as far as you want to push them for reliability. Long story short, stay with stock length shocks with stock length springs. It will flex enough to get the job done. ( stock length Icon resi's on my truck almost ten years ago)
