At lunch I'm going to try running over and grabbing one, whatever they recommend.
I don't think PKP sounds that great because when you run around with guys squirting ABC dry chem they can interfere with each other.
From what I'm reading, CO2 is a bit bulky.
AFFF can freeze up if you don't get the right mix.

    Some light reading
    more reading
    and more

I think I will start with a Halotron (doesn't harm vehicle, puts out most everything. Downside is that it sucks in windy days), and then get a backup ABC dry (cheap, puts out stuff the Halotron won't, works in most all conditions, but it needs to be shaken periodically and its MESSY - goodbye truck)

You'll be fine with an ABC dry chem. If you don't know how to use AFFF/have the appropriate equipment its pointless.

If your truck catches on fire, the minute flames are seen its an insurance claim. If you're out in the woods and accidentally start a fire your 2.5/5# bottle of what ever is going to be gone quick.

 well its either TSF or racing this weekend... Already purchased some stuff for my truck for the meet such as 20' lightbar passenger side mirror currently have a cyclops mirror from past wheeling trip and a fuse box to redo all my wiring. $160 bucks to race this weekend or around $100 for this meet. I'm starting to lean towards the meet to hangout with some TW guys/gals and save money. And after Jonnie calling me bad names:pout: lol. So screw it, off to TSF this weekend!:headbang:

 Kyle's not that bad, man. He reminds me of my buddies from high school in Elma (small hick town).

I wish Steve could make it down there this trip, but he'll be flying out Sunday morning for a family reunion. Looks like our official polar bear spotter will be MIA this time...:(

Yeah I keep thinking that the Halotron might just be a marketing thing. Makes sense for guys with rare cars, but really, I'm not driving something I can't replace.

We had extinguisher training at work last week (mandatory safety thing), and the 2.5lbs was empty after about 3 to 5 BBQ fires. Putting out a whole campfire might be too much for something like that.

Isn't that the one from Costco? Saw it yesterday, about $40.
It was all-metal, so that's good. Wish the handle was a bit thicker metal, but I don't think it would be an issue. I'll probably pick that up

I got it from Lowes, I think it was about $40-$50.
