i know km2's are a favorite of a number of people but i'm not really sold on them. i'm seriously considering the cooper st max. i've had cooper at's before and they did pretty well, but at the same time, if i'm going to do it, i might as well go for the gusto

good to know. the Ko2's are on my AT list. it's hard to justify either though. i WANT a MT and could deal with the tire wear and noise (can't be any noisier than my worn guard dogs). An AT tire would probably suite 80% of my driving though and decent:rolleyes: snow traction is something that would be a good thing

Yep, campus closed and the road to the toads got shut down due to a wreck. Guess the lil fellas will have to go hungry today and hopefully the roads are opened in the morning.

Joey, my guard dogs showed quite a bit of wear and tear in the 10,000 i used them. By far the best all around tire I have used though and would have got 30,000+ out of them probably. If I were you I would look into tires with similar tread pattern. I know cooper has some. I believe Steve ran them and now Grant is but I could be wrong. I wouldn't suggest MTR's to anyone living in Wyoming that uses their truck for winter travel. I would actually just tell them to just ditch MT's in general. Look cool but a nice AT looks just as good IMO.

yeah, if my fronts didn't get jacked from bad tie rods i would have mine pushing 30k+ as far as tread goes. the cooper stt's are similar but lack some little things over all. the cooper ST MAXX are a good second though. toyo's MT looks good but is spendy as hell. tires are just so damn complicated.

I think for a mt on a dd. The km2 has no equal. Sipe them and they are fine for winter. Quiet and last long. And grip very well in all conditions.

The st maxx is what they run up on the slope. They are like the durtracs kinda. Just an aggressive at really. But they are nice. The STT my dad had where great and the ST we ran on our chevy and my old truck and they are great too.

Honestly if your worried about winter stuff. You should be looking at ATs. Not mts.

Sweet man! Be a good addition!

Sheesh. You people actually got that much snow?? Damn.

Means huge rain storms for me in 2-3 days.

    Toyos are also super heavy.

Have you looked at the hankook rt03s too? Heard good things about those too.

We've got about a foot of snow out here and still pretty much a whiteout.

I'm running Fierce Attitudes. So far I'm really liking them. Did great this morning in this heavy wet snow. I'm not really liking how they perform on icy roads, but I'm also used to driving a 1-ton diesel. Still getting used to the Tacoma.

I need to trim and chop the cab. Also are you guys running ET nuts? Guy at tire shop gave me a lecture on them. Also dipshit pulling it inside killed it once then did a burn out going into shop. Needless to say, I backed it out.

New tires always look so biig! I really loved duratracs when I had them and might go back to them when the MTR's take their dump. This time i'll get the duratracs in the right size though.

Hows the truck running Jeff? I cant remember if you ever totally solved your issues with URD? Did you get a new clutch yet?

I ran them. Well still do on the back when I used wheel spacers. They are nice. Toyota studs are notoriously short especially on the front.

    Sweet!

Not as nice as boost though :boink:

Truck is running good 96% of the time. Had a glitch where guardian mode actually kicked in and may have saved my pickup. Took a corner, shifted into second and at 3k power cut to zero and afr went 18+. I killed it and coasted to side of road. Fired it back up and was good. Called G and he said it was most likely an o2 sensor in the front bank taking a dump. This could possibly be. This is an 06 and as far as I know I have never changed o2 sensors.

Also I did install a 3+ urd clutch. It started out smooth after install. Now it kind of had gotten jerky when it bites. Hopefully it will smooth back out some.
