Yeah maybe next year or the year after it's hard for me to get off work for a few days and know in advance so I'd have to plan something on vacation.

are we setting up a camp and wheeling from there every day or is this a camp on the trail trip?

Hey, no worries! I've got practice contributing to the delinquency of a party. Harkens back to my Navy and College days. It'll be Big Sky Brewing for me and Keystone Ice Light for everyone else!! :puke:

Is anyone bringing a chainsaw? Or do I need to get mine repaired (or buy a new one) this weekend? What are the firewood laws in Montana on public land? If it's on the ground, it's fair game? I figure it's just like Idaho...

I hope to be able to find one base camp that we can go from - I know I don't want to be dragging all of my stuff along the trail.

Well be that way then :pout:

And I believe Tony has a chainsaw...we should be able to find plenty of firewood since the pine beetles have killed the majority of the trees in that area.

Real cool area over there really looking forward to the meet. Could not find any state owned camp grounds at least nothing close to a bathroom. Found a few sites that had fire pits but that was about it. I did find a RV / campground in Clancy that had picnic tables and fire pits. That was all I really found for camping. Lots of cool trails though, and still found snow even got stuck in it.

So I do have the name of that RV park if that the route we want to take??

I'm down for a spot where i can bring a small pop up camper. Any big open spots where we all could camp with a fire ring would be better than an RV campground... I have a generator i could bring too.

Elder Creek down a dirt road south of Boulder had a decent spot with a bathroom it said on the sign picnic area but all the way down that road had camping spots right off the road.

The spot is on Lisa's map, the pink road south of Boulder.
