    Most elockers are sold with the axle so they end up being more than 500. But my buddy picked up just the locker and r&p setup for 100

    Toyota wants about $900 for just the motor! :eek:

    So glad my problem was just burnt wiring....

    I can get them all day long not on sale at $860 for the taco rear shipping bumps it to $900

    At that rate you might as well just buy an ARB they are stronger anyways

    It would cost more to get an ARB actually after you buy all the stuff you'd need. Still a lot for just a motor though. If it came down to it I'd just buy a cable kit for $400

    Whaaa??? When I was shopping for em briefly I found several in the 3-400 dollar range for a full axle.

    Thats what i mean. By the time you get wiring and switch and ecu it ends up being over 500

    That's like 30 bucks maybe...50 if ya want...not 1-200 more..

    Yup. Just need wire and a switch. DPDT relay if you want to get all fancy with it. This is for an 05+ but you get the idea.

    if somone is selling a full trd axle with third for 3-400 they are fucking stupid and dont know what they are worth. certainly more than that. sorry, i wouldtn COUNT on that price if i was shopping for an axle

    I watched two sell for 250..haha

    Why IMO arbs are just better. Work better, stronger, 8.4 diff is stronger...just makes the cost worth it IMO.

    Just cut through the BS and go straight to SFA or LT, you know you'll end up doing that anyway, so you'll save money in the long run.:D

    i agree an arb is a better option. but sometimes you can make the 8" work for cheaper. i tried and it took more work than i thought. oh well. thats life.

    if any thing, being locked gave me the kick in the pants i needed to realize what direction i wanted to take my truck. A costly experiment? You bet. But now i know where im going :D
