Anyone live near Marysville?

Howdy,

I'm looking to install a spacer lift on my Tacoma, but I don't have the proper tools (floor jack, jack stands, the larger socket for diff drop, etc). No spring compressor is needed per the directions with my kit. I could also use the help of someone with more automotive knowledge then I have ;-)

Anyone in this part of town able to help me out?

Thank you!

I've got tools and the know-how and I don't live too far away. I would definitely be willing to help. I noticed you started another thread talking about a couple different lift options though, did you decide what route you're going to take? I'm not aware of a spacer lift that wouldn't require a spring compressor.

I'm in Marysville, Wa but I don't have the knowledge your looking for. I do have most of the tools tho.

I've done some brakes, water pumps, alternators etc. in my day but for some reason I've always been leery of tackling suspension. I watched the guys at Les Schwab install my Billies for me. Those needed the spring compressor but other than that it looked really simple.

I can see how suspension can be intimidating, but it's really not too much harder than the jobs you've tackled.

BTW, you recently posted a couple pictures to Live up in the mountains, where was that?

It's the back way into Lake Cavanaugh. If you head east towards Darrington out of Arlington theres a turn off to Lake Cavanaugh, it climbs up over the hills and drops you into the back side of the lake. They've recently been doing some logging up there. The turn out is clearly marked, about 10-15 miles east of Arlington.

I took the only logging road off of the lake road and followed it for 3 or 4 miles as it climbed the mtn. Some great places to pull off and snap some pictures.

My profile pic and the others like it are on a logging road outside Whistler.

I'm in Mount Vernon and just installed a 3 inch lift on my truck about two months ago. Definitely an all day job, and a lot of work. My cousin in redmond has a car lift so we just threw my truck on that, and he has installed lifts in his garage many times before so he helped me out.

Hey Forster, 4runner got his lift delivered and is ready to get installed. Is there any chance we'd be able to use your cousin's lift to put it on for him? Obviously we'll be able to get it done without a lift, but if we had a lift to use it'd make things a lot easier! If you want to take the discussion offline, feel free to PM 4runner or myself. Thanks!

Here she is with the new 255/85/16 KM2's. I was hoping I would dig the look of them with the factory wheels, but it turned out to be not my favorite look. I hope to upgrade to some aftermarket black wheels in the future.

Walker is five minutes down the road from my house. I'm betting there is a ton of snow up there. I have over a foot in my yard.

Forster, are you familar with the trails at walker valley? It would be awesome if you could show me around up there. I printed out a map but it looks like a huge area and I'm not sure which trails are Tacoma worthy!

I have only been up there on dirt bikes a couple times. But I do know that if you plan on going in a taco, you have to pretty pretty modded on at LEAST 33's and a three inch lift, not to mention a winch, if you wanna go wheeling up there. The trails are rated pretty hard and its a lot of crawling and deep ruts.
