We all made it out! I'll post up the few amount of pictures I have in a minute. We got to the top of the road without any problems...Apparently last weekends meet was a bit more epic.
This was my first ever meet and I just can't say enough about how much fun I had and how nice everyone is. I can't wait for another one!

How do you burn clutch if you have 4lo? Heh heh

You guys get bogged down in the snow like we did last week?

...by not using 4lo like a n00b and thinking 4hi would do the trick, duh

Nah the snow had a hard layer on top from freezing temperatures all week and very dry underneath. Nothing like you guys had last weekend

I just signed up so hopefully once I get my new tires ill be out with everyone!
What kind of communications do you use between trucks on the trail? I was reading that Beavis0076 was talking about getting Ham or CB, I have both.

Sounds good. Another group that me and my dad go out with ( Im a college student currently) we all use ham. Works really well through the hills, way better than CB in my opinion

What kind of runs do you do? Like trails or more forrest service roads? Im not sure if I will put a lift on my truck so I won't have to much clearance for big rocks.

Everything from the easy fire road to the oh shit we are stuck on the trail in blizzard conditions trying to minimize body damage and flip trucks back to the propper rubber side down orientation. :mudding:

Truck City is good stuff, I like supporting the local shops. I'm studying for the tech license right now and will probably take the exam here in a few weeks. Looking into it I can get a pretty solid set up for around $600.

It's a bit over priced but I'll pay the price for a solid, knowledgable skill time shop. I bought all my stuff and did a self install (background in it so it's not difficult for me).

As for amateur stuff. I've already got everything I want lined up (radio, antenna, mount) so now it's a meter of passing the licensing exam and getting the stuff. If you have zero experience in electronics I highly recommend picking up a book and reading then re-reading it. It's pretty interesting. Also, if you've got an iPhone there is a free app for the ham radio exams. I dunno about android phones though.

Cool pics fellas! I'm wanting to come out to one of these events but concerned about being un pre-paired. It's been years since I wheeled anything more serious than logging roads. I just finished the locker anytime mod and am reading about on-board air. I'm running 37's and figure I'll need a good system to air up, do most of you do this or do you not air down often? I just bought a CB also and am trying to find the best place to install it, with any luck I'll be ready to go after the holidays.

Everyone aired down yesterday... Always worth it to air down. I know when we were leavin yfz rider had the pump of the day to save everyone's ass.

I just decided I'm buying the viair to keep my mall crawler pretty theme up lol.... Well gettin it for Christmas anyway. But for a good priced and good deal on a pump his Smittybuilt was awesome! Stay away from the superflow mv50.... I was 5 minutes from throwing it down the hill and Rollin back to town on 8 pounds:mad:

I aired down after I got stuck twice. It works! I'm convinced. My truck went like a snow mobile with 10 psi in the highway M&S tires.

Pictures coming soon, in post processing now.
