I'm out for a Labor Day mod day as well. I have a good friend getting married that weekend...

Would the weekend of the 6th work for people for a trial run?

The weekend of the 06th would work for me either a trail run or a mod day. Any get together would be cool. Any thought on where to hit?

I was thinking Van Epps Pass. The first time where we stopped on the trail I believe is the take off to Van Epps. There is a fire though outside of Cle Elum now so not sure how smokey it is. Anyone else no any other good trails? Ive been looking on that NWJeepn.com for more.

Sucks. I had Labor day weekend to myself... Wife's best friend will be in town!

Guess I'll just head to the base and fix up my stuff. Got a new top hat, bushings and a different spacer for the front left to hopefully fix that side. Also, new (slightly used) UCA's should be coming soon. Going to swap those out too because mine have seen better days.

Well, I'm up for hosting a mod day on the weekend of the 06th or 13th (rather hit the trail on the 06th if that works out). I had a mad rush on Tuesday to put the truck back together and still have my switch panel to finish wiring.

Would love to work on your front with you, I know Benjamin would like to do some suspension work as well. Unfortunately this week is a complete downer in terms of free time. Actually, I'd be open to a Labor Day mod day but it would have to be on Monday since I'm busy with wedding during the week. How does that day work for you?

Trail run would be better on the 6th for me as well. Im not in to much of a hurry to get the front installed so I can wait a few weeks.
I get back on sept. 1st so I won't have labor day weekend free either, anytime after that though im free, even during the week.

I am looking towards a Mod day soon.

While performing a parts inventory and size check, I encountered a potential problem:

Factory sized upper shackle (at least that is what it looks like)
Dakar sized lower shackle (I think I have the bushings in hand for this)

The shackles look like the Prior Owner custom work:

    Thoughts????

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I will be out of town for Labor Day weekend.

As of right now, I am free on the weekends of 6th, and 13th, but plans can change rapidly unless I commit to specific dates.

I was hoping to get some truck stuff done before this weekend's trip (Naches), but I doubt that will happen. I need to rebuild (2) CVs and possibly install them both, and also replace the Needle Bearing with the ECGS bushing. I also need to swap my 1/2" top-plate spacers for 1/4" ones and drain/fill both diffs. and the transfer case.

At some point, I need to fab a plate to install my BlueSea fuse block, and wire-up a new LED bar in my canopy. I have been slacking big-time on truck mods.

Well to be fair, you did just put a fricking motor in your truck. :)

    Lazy.

Just kidding man. Hope you are doing well. All good on Labor Day. I'll just avoid doing it until something breaks.. :D Erica won't be home much that weekend, so no second car. If I needed something I would be SOL. I'll find another day to work on it. Don't want to do my UCA's by myself either. Doesn't seem like a fun job single handed.

BTW, wheelers has some awesome new 1/4" spacers. No longer metal, so you don't get that retarded metal on metal sound. I have one of them in the truck right now to swap out my 1/4" I have in there.

Im not to much into Walker personally. A lot of rednecks who just go full throttle and don't care about who is around them, plus trails are a little tough for a mainly stock truck. Both times ive been up there I have seen an ambulance take away at least 1 person in the parking lot.

I'm doing something every single weekend until the 27th of September, but all my projects need professionals or extended amounts of welding.

Are you talking about ? I don't think those serve as spacers, but just as replacement parts.

Hey you can add me to the list, now. Just moved to Freeland, on Whidbey Island. Not so sure my truck is going to get too far in the rough. Willing to find, though...

Since you are 2wd you won't be able to do many trails but forest service roads are perfect for you. You can get way back in the woods like I was a few days ago. Look back a page or 2 for pictures.
