More than double the time? Would YOU be happy with that? I know I wouldn't. Good product or not, if he can't make one in 3 months, then he shouldn't say 3 months. If I had to wait that long I'd be rushing him, since he didn't live up to his side of the deal.

Well, since most of the folks on here who posted in this thread LOVE the guy, it would be to assume the guy does what he says... and has a good reputation

Not saying this against RF I have no stake in this, but just because someone is a FRIEND of yours, DOES NOT mean they are a good business person!!

These situations are always funny, because until you are the customer, you can stand behind the vendor all day.

I really don't give a shit about this ordeal, but I would be furious if I was told 3 months and finally got it in 7 months, I would also have asked for my money back and wanted to buy elswhere.

Not all of his fault. It looks like he asked to stop it and get his $ back.

Kinda proves my original post... Relentless may have f-ed up but the OP's tact for dealing with it is a low blow and lacks anything resembling class.

Just to be clear, if I were in the OP's shoes, I'd be pissed also but this thread did nothing to help the situation.

Why not? People flame 4Wheelparts all the time. Honestly what is the difference? Eric is trying to make a business grow and be profitable just like any other business.

And again I don't have a dog in this fight, but what happened to "the customer is always right"?

It seems according to Eric that he did all he could to make this customer happy. And it seemed that the customer still wasn't happy. Both were wrong, and both were right. In my opinion.

Sometime's the vendor does need to be called out.

A couple of years ago there was a slider GB... the guy had had a good reputation and some of the guys got their sliders on time and as requested. Then some had to fight tooth and nail to get a response from the guy and it also took a LOOOOONNNNNG time for them to get the product or a refund. I believe all of them finally got a refund or their sliders, and some had issues...

I can't look right now, but I'm sure some of the longer term members remember....
