Lol, this isn't "my trip" per se, but HUGE Thanks for all your effort on this Zach.

I think this will be an easy enough expedition that more people are invited to join w/o high-risk or liability concerns. The more the merrier, just no Douchebaggery!!! :D

As far as daily Stops, Sights, and prospective Camp Spots, I haven't completely mapped it out but I think we can play most of it by ear.

Once I am not so busy, I will finish reading through David's link and make some notes on potential stops/camp spots. I don't want to over-complicate things (like I have a tendency to do :p) but it would be nice to have a basic itinerary to stick to, in order to have fun and (hopefully) complete the majority of the WABDR in the time we have.

I am gonna get my ass in gear once I get back from Vegas on Sunday and really start getting things together. I have a few small "fix-its" on my truck to complete as well.

What Ben was really trying to say is "Zach, if I want a beer at 8am, I will get it myself. I don't need you to put Session Black in my hand."

Getting pretty stoked myself. Hoping my bed rack and RTT are here by then. The interior of my truck is in a million pieces. I finally decided to tear it apart and put in a ton of wiring work. Basically, I've been bolting down my driver seat to go to work the last week.

Yes, Zach, the Blue Sea distribution block is part of all the wiring work I'm doing.

Make sure you have the right gauge of wire for the fuses you are using.
    18 - 5 amp
    16-10amp
    14-15 amp
    12-20 amp
    10-30 amp
    8-40 amp
    6-50 amp
And that's all I remember off hand. I might have a new trick or two for this trip as well...

Dammit! Well, I guess a modest amount of Douchebaggery will be tolerated in that case. As long as the correct forms have been submitted and approved before said Douchebaggery is set to commence, there shouldn't be an issue

I beg to differ...you can put a Session in my hand ANY time you please :D:cheers::drunk:

If my old lady can get the time off, it would be me (Charles), my old lady (Amanda), and our two dogs Trager. The English Bulldog you met on our trip and her mutt pnut the mutt terrier. We can for sure get Friday off, but Monday is still up in the air.

This is my new Taco. Same damn truck as the one I wrecked down to a T, except this mother F'er has 10k less miles. 82k original miles from one owner. Winner winner chicken dinner. :D Well except this has a 6in db lift, which I'm not fond about, but that will only allow me to make the decsion to SAS it in about 6-7 years haha.

Haha. Oh yeah. I have a black softopper to mount back up and my 4x innovation sliders to weld back on as well. :D

Thanks. Bring her! My woman is hoping there is other x chromosomes to tag along. If not, she'll survive. I can't promise the softopper won't be a'knocking on some nights. HAHAHA :p

Nice. I'm curious to see the RTT. Ashamed to say, I've never seen an RTT in person. But our dogs get along with every other dog...well most of them hate pnut b/c he's like the creepy uncle nobody wants to talk to. He's a 10yr old male that is bisexual. :p

I spoke with my fiancee about it, and since this sounds much less hardcore than before I think she is in. She is very recently unemployed, and I can swing an extra day or two off so it is looking pretty good at the moment.

I may end up bringing my black dog, Enzo. Depends on where I stay before the trip when I am visiting family on the west side.

I'd like to get the feel from everyone as to what they hope to expect when it comes to food. We have options for

    • complete containment (don't expect to ever see a store)
    • hybrid containment (chances to re-ice, but all meals are campsite)
    • hybrid easy life (main focus on containment, but some scheduled meals in town)
    • complete easy life (bring bare essentials and eat meals in town)

I usually prefer one of the two hybrids, but any choice is acceptable.

I would say hybrid containment but maybe 1 meal in town, besides that either hybrid is fine by me!
