If you look at the map I can see why we were confused. On our maps it shows a trail. On the nwjeepn site there is a brown line that looks like a road.

I guess the lesson learned is to cross check all maps and the trail description before we start jamming down a trail. It was quite epic non the less.

Hell yea Alex! Glad you guys made it to the border, and GOOD ON YOU ALL for being good samaritans and helping out the guy that dumped his bike. Well done!!!

You did, it was pretty damn incredible. I had a great time, especially after I got my second wind after 16 hours of straight wheeling.

I will try to upload my pics today. Been busy as hell since Monday...This is the first time I've been in front of a computer since we got back.

We were trying to make it across the Manastash Ridge and re-connect to other trail systems to make it back to camp. On our maps, it looked the trail went across the whole ridge, but it came to a dead-end, and the other trail systems we were looking for were burned out and nowhere to be found.

David took the lead and found a alternate route down the mountain, there was no way we were back-tracking all way at 5:00 am.

    For shizzle!

How have you been Charles!? Great to see you back on the forum. We'll have to plan an outing and catch up. That was great fun wheeling earlier this summer. I'm going to have to nickname you B.S.H. (Brick Shit House) :D

It was epic but every one of us sustained noticeable body damage heh heh. We paid for it.

Man, you said it. Thanks to ChickenM for basically guiding me backwards to safety. I was on gravel for part of that off-camber turn-around - I'd inch backwards and slide sideways towards the cliff. I'd inch forwards and slide sideways towards the cliff

Um, not me. I dented my rear bumper in my Superman maneuver going up the rocks, but no body damage for me on the whole trip. Sorry to rub that in ;)

I probably would have taken off with Will, letting him guide. I would have missed the logs that took his doors out too... Lol. I'll be in for it next year. The wife can't hold me back 2 years in a row!

Ah yes, the little hole in the front bumper plastic. But still, no "body" damage.
ETA: Ok, fair enough. I did not escape unscathed :) Totally worth it though!

You used the trailer hitch perfectly as body armor Shooter!

Can I give another bit of love to the waffle boards? :p

Here are a few pics that turned out okay. David, I also have a few video clips (as does my brother) if you are looking for more footage to pilfer.
