Based on the Oregon caves and crater lake being on the list, follow up the rogue river from Medford/white city up to Crater lake. Or shoot up hwy 140 from white city and just after you drop over the east side of the pass by lake of the woods there's a peak called pelican butte you can 4x4 up to via the access road to the lookout on top. Amazing 360 view at the top with only Mt Mclaughlin being taller nearby and Mt Shasta to the distant south

Deja Vue is still there but Washington strip clubs are horrible. Non alcoholic and too many restrictions. To get around the restrictions the clubs charge a member fee to get into a special room.

Portland has some great clubs. I remember going to a place called Sassy's that was right across from a club my brother's band was playing at. It was a really cool dive club with wood paneling. I don't know if it is still around.

Nw Washington has some great places to explore. Hoh rainforest, Olympic natl park. Some of the small towns on the straits between wash and canada are pretty awesome. Port Townsend is a neat town. Kinda artsy/ hippyish but not in a dirty hippy way. Water street pizza in pt Townsend is awesome. Hurricane ridge is a nice drive from port Angeles at sea level up to about 5000'. Great views of the Olympic mtns. Cool tunnels carved on the roadway

Eastern Oregon is the best part of Oregon. The dark side of the state is just full of Californians anyway. If you want to do some hillbilly shit or just need someplace to crash let me know. The OBDR is pretty cool, mild go fast two track forest roads mostly.

In case it wasn't mentioned yet, spend a night or two stumbling through the streets of Portland stopping into as many brew pubs as you can for beer. I was down there for a union event a few years ago, and the Henry Weinhard's menu was larger than average, and most of the back of it was just about fine print to list all the beers they had available.

A hike on Mount Rainier can be a nicely scenic thing.

There is Iron Horse Brewery in Ellensburg, Wa.

If you want some light off-roading, ORBDR turns into WABDR (Oregon/Washington Backcountry Discovery Route). There is a group of us doing the WABDR in August.

For strip clubs. Casa diablo has to be the top. Followed by Sassys and The Acropolis.

If you are going to up at Hood seeing Timberline I highly suggest going in the morning and having breakfast at the Huckleberry Inn in Government Camp. Best around. There is a lot of camping along Hwy 26 up there.

For the coast, Astoria, Seaside, Cannon Beach, Newport all can be fun. But its summer and all will be packed. Its been hot in the valley so people go to the coast for cooler weather.

In Portland for food I recommend Deschutes Brewery and Portland City Grill. Go to happy hour at Portland City Grill. They have the best views in the city.

Then take the dogs to the river and chill

"South" is pretty good eats too (and dog friendly). Carnitas Plate FTMFW!!!
Plus, I've seen a few local Black Bears roaming around town...which is always unexpected :)

    A little off topic...
Brady, my dad and I have gone fishing at fish lake for awhile in October, and while over there, it is our tradition to go get beer and food in Leavenworth. A few years ago, we were waiting for a table at Gustav's, and ended up sitting up toward the front of the bar with some other people about my age that were all at various levels of drunk. One chick kept pulling out her tits just to show them off, and it was quite clear that they were trying to get us to go back to camp with them and everybody was going to get laid.

Sorry for the thread jack (again), but I had to post this.

We snuck our lil guy into Oktoberfest a few years ago. He was a good mascot :)

Yup. We have since gotten another one (Black & Tan). Awesome little dogs, but can be annoying yappers at times.

I once knew one whose name is Olivia, but I called her Monster Face. She didn't have the beard.
