If I had snow like that on my truck I would shape it like a huge penis, and drive in and out of my garage.

I'll pitch Utah to you. Try Kamas, Heber City, Coalville, Ogden, Brigham City and Logan.

    • All of them have a reasonable cost of living, check.
    • Are near major interstate highways, I15 and I80. Check
    • Have snow, can you say literally minutes from the all of the winter sports venues for 2002 winter Olympics, check.
    • Smaller towns, check
    • Summer activities, all of those ski resorts are in the mountains and the possibilities are endless, hiking, biking, camping, etc, etc, check and check
    • Has an active TW community. One word Moab. You haven't lived until you've wheeled in Moab. It's about 5 hours from the cities/towns above.
Sounds like you live and active outdoor life, and Northern Utah is about as good as it gets. The population is concentrated into an area that is about 90 miles north to south and 60 miles east to west. There's everything you could want in the metropolitan area, but by driving a few minutes east or west and you can be all by yourself in the desert. I've been to the other nearby states many times and they are truly great, but Utah is still better.

WASHINGTON is your answer.. Not too cold winters but still get snow and if your 6-12 inches isn't enough there's always the pacific and cascade mountain range. Not too hot in the summer time, highs of 80-90* for about a month and a half. Fall is absolutely breathtaking here. spring is amazing. Tons of places to go skiing at, snoqualmie, crystal mountain, mt. hood, mt. Baker etc. Plus lots of beautiful mountains to even go look at and climb. Lots of interstates.. I5, I90, hw82, etc. Very active TW community. The suburban and rural areas here are amazing on the western side of the cascades particularly Black Diamond, Ravensdale, Duval, Fall City, Northbend. Tons of places to go wheeling. Lots of campgrounds. lots of natural and man made lakes to go boating or fishing. Every thing is luscious and GREEN here if you know what I mean and are into that. lol.
