    I doubt it will snow enough to keep up away from that great view and the overlook just short of the top but making it the last little bit to the cabin could be in question. :eek:

    :eek: I was already planning on leaving my truck at the top of that last hill! I had trouble and my tires started to slip when we were up there in July, on dry ground, can't imagine what it would be like on a day like today.

    This hill...I think I'll stop at the top and walk down

    I am pretty sure that adding the RTT had zero impact on my MPGs, even tho is sticks up about 3-4" higher than the roof line.

    I can tell you that you'll have to mount it a lot higher than mine is, if you want to retain full use of your rear view mirror. On mine, I can see an object behind me in the rear view mirror but that object has to be within 6' of my tailgate. :eek: A couple of inches higher will not make much difference. Your side view mirrors will become your BFF.

    The only way to avoid that will be to mount the RTT very low, like bed rail height, so you can see over it. But mounted like that you will lose most of the use of the open bed space and it will be difficult to load and unload what you are carrying back there.

    there is no way you will be able to use your rear view mirror with a RTT. It'll always block part of it no matter what. Its not that bad and you can always add a rear view camera.
