    Hey guys and gals,
    Just moved to Montana from Massachusetts. First off those pictures coming from the top of and then coming down through Glacier are incredible.

    I've got a couple questions for you folks if you don't mind. I'm going to be needing a new set of tires soon, and am contemplating getting some new wheels. http://www.oemtoyotascionparts.com/PTR20-35080 .
    Should I wait till spring to get the wheels? I'm not someone that babies their vehicle but I do care about my things.
    What tires would be a good choice for someone who 85% of the time is driving on pavement? However I am contemplating a lift in the near future whenever I can find a job to fund it.

    I appreciate your help in advance.

    :wave: Welcome! I take it you're here for U of M? You may have seen Garret/YellowDog01 around, he's our other Missoula guy.

    Wheels: the roads can get nasty in the winter but as long as you are able to get to a carwash a few times and get the gunk off of the truck I wouldn't be too worried about putting new wheels on now.
    Tires: anything A/T would suffice. Get the tires siped as well for a little more grip. My truck had Bridgestone Revo 2's on it when I got it and they handled the winter well, they wore out pretty quickly though. Then I had Duratracs and they were amazing in the winter. I just hated them because they were loud and impossible to keep balanced. And now I have just generic, Big O A/T's and they've been great, no complaints from them so far. I've seen a lot of people run BFG KO's, Hankook ATM's and Yokohama Geolanders on trucks like ours and they all seem to do pretty well.

    Welcome, Skyler. I'm in Missoula as well. Not on here as much as I used to because I've been so busy, but you might see me rolling around town.

    I've been happy with an AT all around Western MT. I've got the BFG ATs and they are a little loud, just because I've been driving the hell out of it.

    I'm actually not going to the U. I've always wanted to live in MT, and decided to make it happen before I get married/have kids etc... and can't do it. I did however kidnap my gf and she might be going there next year. I'm probably gonna get some BFG's through Costco, but wanted to hear what you guys thought. I figured the winters would be similar to that of New England but just wanted to make sure.

    Here's what I'm driving(Mass plates for now).
