This is short notice but I figured I should throw it out anyways. The title speaks for itself. Come out and show how much you care for our OHV parks and trails.

I noticed bjmoose signed up on NorcalFJs which is great! But so you don't have to sign up for yet another forum you can post up here and I will contact the organizer. I will need your RSVP by Monday, October 18th so he can get a headcount for lunch.

EDIT (10/17/10): Remember to bring a good set of work gloves and water when we're on the trails.

    Let's get the list started......

Is anyone on the fence on even going? Keep in mind it isn't straight work. We'll be hitting the trails and stopping along the way to pick up trash. After the cleanup we will definitely hit the trails and obstacle courses.

Also it isn't an FJ cleanup persay. Last year they just had more than 10 rigs show up and 1 Tacoma (me). A guy by the name of James is the organizer and works closely with park staff and his first event was last year. It's open to all so come out.

Also wanted to point out.. i had the opportunity to meet a few FJ guys on our eagle lakes trip. There a class act over there. all great people, super friendly, and very welcoming to non-FJ's. If your on the fence about attending because of it being a mainly FJ meet...DONT BE and go! :D

I've never been to a clean up before but can somebody give me a run down on what goes on during events like this? We just walk around with garbage bags and pick up trash?

^Yes sir. We all meet in the morning to break up into groups. Each group will hit different sections of HH. We drive on the trails and stop, leaving about 50 feet or so between rigs, then pick up trash on the trail and venture off trail to pick up trash. We keep continuing this same process until the trail leader decides to find another trail. Some groups just stay around Sycamore Camp or Hector Heights cuz there is just so much crap there. After a couple hours we break for lunch and that's it. Then we can hit trails and have some fun.

^Google maps says it's a 2.5 hour drive from San Anselmo to Hollister Hills SVRA. The link to Hollister Hills is in my first post. You should be fine with your 5 lugger 2WD just as long as you stay with the group that sticks with either the campsite location or green only trails. Let me know if you will be going so I can try to sneak in a RSVP with the organizer.

Let me know as soon as you can. Between the NorcalFJs and TW we have 19 rigs. I'm sure there will be a lot more from MTA and other clubs and forums.

On the Renz and M/C side, we see very little in the way of trash and that's mostly around the picnic tables (which is easy to pick up).

Why's the upper ranch so dirty? I don't go up there which is why I ask.
