Sorry I'm not going to make this Friday. The end caps on the frame which hold the front bumper are tearing off and I need to get them fixed before I do any wheeling.

Senna, you still wanna go? Anyone else? Friday looks clear, but Sat looks rainy.

I'm bringing my 7yo daughter, so I'm tentatively thinking something like this:

Leave San Jose by 8, hit the SVRA by 9:30, wheel for hour and a half or so - nothing too difficult because it'll be slippery from the rain and I don't have sliders or locker yet, picnic lunch, then head home, probably back in SJ by 1:30 PM.

I might be down for wheeling on Friday...

    Bummer Senna.

Rsxftw - it's early in the season and has had a day or so to dry - I have no idea how much mud we're really going to find.

    YayAreaTaco, or anyone else -

Down by the main entrance, they've got some air compressor lines for airing up. I'll get there sometime before 9:30 and wait there till 9:30 for anyone else who can show up. I've got the black regular cab with the sketch of Bullwinkle on the driver side rear window.

Last time I tried using my FRS radios they were sketchy. But if they're working, I'll be monitoring ch 7 privacy 31 - same as Norcal FJs use.

If anyone's checking this topic this morning, I'm running a little late. I don't feel to bad about that because no one's comitted to showing up.:D

Nope, not too. The obstacle course has some areas with really poor drainage (on purpose, I assume) so folks who wanted the muddy/boggy experience were hanging out there.

All the trails were just a little softer/slipperier than you'd find them on some August day.

I don't deliberately seek out mud. But still got a fair amount of cleaning to do. There was one particular mud puddle on Foothill Rd, right on the way to the exit...

I'll wait till *after* it stops raining to wash off, however. :D

Yeah she did good. Kids and driving on twisty bumpy roads is always iffy, so I try and keep it short. Pic was snapped at the summit of Bonanza Gulch Road, so we were looking up at McCray Road/Hector heights, and across a valley at Five Fingers.

Sorry we missed you. Next time.
