Don't get the smittybilt syn rope, its junk. I have read this time and time again on ttora. I forget the name, but there is a different type of syn line that handles heat much better, search you will find it. Once my steel line wears out I plan on getting this.

I recently picked up a Master Pull Super Line
    http://www.masterpull.com/item.cfm?itemid=29388

Once again not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It is very tightly woven and can handle a lot of weight. Havn't gotten to try it out yet, but ill be the first to pull out the winch if anyone gets stuck in march

I've got the Smittybilt synthetic line. Its made out of Dyneema SK-75. The same as Amsteel blue.

    http://www.dyneema.com/

The masterpull stuff is nice.. has a sheath along the entire length, but damn it is expensive.

CopperT has the Smittybilt line as well and had no trouble pulling you guys up the hill in bear valley. :D

You got a point there I'm still leaning on the synthetic line and if it just so happens to break I'll buy a new stronger one. having that 30lbs difference is nice.

I think for occasional use the Smittybilt line is fine. Lots of people use the amsteel blue and its the same material. Maybe if I was out wheeling Fordyce every other weekend I would worry about it and buy something more expensive.

yeah you'll probably be fine, as I said I'm just conveying what I read on ttora, and alot of those guys wheel alot harder than %99.9 of the people here.

Yeah that's what I was thinking after you had told me you were reading on ttora. Those guys wheels a lot harder then I do.
